Product Abstract: Also known as Common Rue, this is an ornamental, shrubby herb with a strong, aromatic, bitter or acrid scent. It has tough, woody branches and small, smooth, bluish-green leaves. Its early summer flowers give way to green fruits that resemble tiny immature oranges. In cooler temperatures, this oil can solidify or have a thick consistency. We recommend placing the bottle in very hot water, changing the water frequently until it is back to the liquid state; be sure to shake well before use.
Cautions: Dilute well before use. Do not use if under the care of a medical practitioner; for external use only. Neurotoxic and may cause skin irritation; a skin test is recommended prior to use. This oil also has phototoxic properties and exposure to the sun must be avoided after application to the skin. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping), be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.
